Larger creatures can sometimes require you to approach the legs to see the Health and Torpor stat. a window in a taming pen) can get in the way when attempting to examine a Dino mid-tame. the range of the magnifying glass is only 1 foundation from the intended target in ideal circumstances. When aimed at a structure, it will show its Health. This is not helpful when attempting to tranquilize a Giganotosaurus or similar high damage creatures such as Spino or Therizino because they will kill you rather quickly when you get close. This can be helpful when attempting to tranquilize a creature that is getting low on Health. When aimed at a creature, it will show its Health and Torpor stats. When aimed at a Harvestable, the Magnifying Glass will show the items that can be obtained by that Harvestable - not necessarily the items that will be obtained from the Harvestable.I do this about once every couple of weeks, as it lasts a good while (I don't kill that much, and although they kill each other, it only happens when not in hibernation, so it's very slow and gradual that the bias turns the game into World of Fish). The Magnifying Glass is a tool that shows yields of a plant as well as the health of a creature or structure. Solution to this is DestroyWildDinos cheat - it resets the population densities of dinos to their default settings. And he realized, that is where all the dinos went. Then he went to Hidden Lake and saw the thing absolutely choked with Coels, maybe 200 or more of them. This was proven by someone who did a "dino count" where the server told him how many there were, and even though he found nothing on land, it said there were 50,000 dinos. So what is happening (and some folks have the data to show this) is that over time, the water becomes stuffed with Coels, which you're almost never going to be looking for, and the land becomes deserted. And pretty much the easiest ones are Coelocanths - fish. Well over time what happens is the server's population becomes more and more populated with easy dinos. And a Carno would more likely be replaced by a Stego, and so on. Since the spawns are biased toward easier dinos, if you kill a Trex, say, it's more likely to be replaced by a Carno than another Rex. Kill a dilo, it might be replaced with a trike. When something dies, it does not always get replaced by the same species. Instead, what happens in SP, at least, is that the game biases its spawns toward easier dinos. The spawn nodes are not being "deleted" or bugged. The populations of dinos denuding is caused by a different issue. It's annoying but with sufficient babysitting you can deal. Time how long it takes for nodes to come back and keep track of it so you know how long to wait. Mine things first, then go out hunting, crafting, etc. The solution to this is don't exit the game until you see those nodes respawn. (They haven't quite, because there are some methods for getting them to start up again, but for all intents and purposes this is what has happened.) It's almost as if the nodes have been deleted. This can "break" the node - for all intents and purposes you can imagine (though it is not exactly correct) that if you dare have the temerity to exit the game while a node is empty (has been mined and not regenned yet), that node will be permanently locked in that state. The resource nodes become bugged when you mine a node out and then exit the game before the node respawns. The dino spawn "bug" and the resource node bug are caused by two different things. JUST obsidian never does :(Īnyone has a solution? or anyone has a MOD to force regrow minerals? We have re-fertilizer for plant base ressources. Metal came back, crystal came back, dinos came back. since our base is in the easy 2 zone, and we traveled to the volcano using Argentavis. it didnt regrow in the last 5 days we went there.ĭistance doesnt work. So now, latest game we played we went back to the volcano, and we noticed the volcano RAN OUT OF OBSIDIAN. You can also find Obsidian in the central part of The Center map. but not obsidian.īecause of that, we were forced to get our obsidian at the volcano. Lava Island is the best spot where you can find Obsidian nodes in Ark the Center. go back in it 2-3 (in game) time creatures are back, metal is back. REGARDLESS of distance, and time.įor example: our base is not far from the South cave (easy zone 2) we cleared the gave of its creatures, metal and obsidian. all ressources respawns at normal rates EXCEPT obsidians. we fixed that by reducing the respawn radius to buildings, and shorten the spawning speed of ressources.īUT since then. So a while ago I had problems with ressources in general not respawning (Non-dedicated Multiplayer game for me and a friend). private non-dedicated server for me and a buddy, pvp server.
